Super 2 Championship

The Super Two is the national championship for the Honda, TKM 4-Stroke, Libre Invitation and World Formula classes of racing karts. The Super Two and Rotax 175 are sanctioned by the UK motor sports governing body, the Motor Sports Association (MSA) and comprise a series of sprint races held all over the country. The race meetings are for MSA licensed drivers and are run by MSA kart clubs on approved circuits.

The main purpose of the Super Two and the Rotax 175 Championships is to give club drivers the opportunity to race against competitors from other clubs and to establish who is the best driver in the whole country. It is very much a drivers' championship as the classes are either for standard-engined karts or for those with sealed engines.

The general format of the one-day race meetings is that there is a short practice session followed by three heats. There is usually unofficial practising on the preceding day. The finishing position in the heats determines the drivers' grid position for the final. Depending on the track length, the heats are eight to twelve laps each and the final is twelve to fifteen laps. Registered competitors can download an entry pack which consists of race entry forms, supplementary regulations, circuit location and information on local accommodation.
